About the Owner
Dear Parents,
My name is Millie Flores (Mimmi) and I am very happy to take the opportunity to introduce myself as an Owner-Head Teacher at Sunshine & Sprouts Learning Daycare.
I am originally from Lima, Peru and have lived in the United States for 31 years now. I have two daughters, my oldest is 30 years old and my youngest is 15 years old. I have been a resident of Loudoun County for the past 26 years. I studied Principles of Accounting, worked in banking for 11 years, and helped my family business in the auto industry for 6 years. It has been my greatest passion teaching children and watching them grow over the past 10 years.
I feel so blessed that my dream comes true day by day helping children begin their academic, social, and educational development at an early age to make a difference in their lives. I am very excited to welcome you to visit us and be part of the Sunshine and Sprouts Family!

Curriculum
As a Learning Daycare, we understand the importance of providing children with a strong foundation for their future education. That's why we have developed a curriculum that focuses on developing children's cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Our curriculum is designed to be age-appropriate, challenging, and fun, so children enjoy learning and are engaged throughout the day. By incorporating play-based learning, children are encouraged to explore their creativity and gain confidence in themselves as learners.

Programs
Infants
12 Weeks - 12 Months
This class makes babies feel loved, secure, and happy. We understand that infants require specialized care and attention, which is why we have warm and caring teachers who focus on developing a bond with each little one. Our program creates a nurturing, home away from home environment in which your baby can grow and thrive.
Toddlers
13 Months - 24 Months
As children grow and become more active, the Toddler class offers distinct areas for exploration and discovery. We reinforce positive behavior and great routines.
Early Preschool
2 Years - 3 Years
In the early preschool class, children learn to work with others, develop self-help skills, and follow directions and routines. I usually challenge the children at age 2 to gauge their level of development, and determine whether they are ready for preschool activities. Further development of appropriate behavior and gaining independence, to be successful, confident and empowered.
Preschool
3 Years - 4 Years
The Preschool class provides your child with opportunities to develop their language skills, early math skills, fine motor skills, and more through exciting and engaging activities. Every child has unique abilities and strengths, and we work to provide opportunities for them to reach their full potential.
